Technical Data

Design
Trusses are designed in accordance with BS EN 1995-1-1: Part 3 & the relevant Building Regulations.

Pitches
For economy, pitches are standardised to between 15 & 40 degrees – we can supply to your spec.

Spacing
The usual spacing is 600mm (450mm or 400mm to support heavier loads).

Preservation
We treat with new waterborne solutions, or with non-corrosive, spirit-based organic solvents.

Spans
Standard trusses can be designed up to 11 metres in 35mm timber, and 15 metres in 47mm timber. Wider spans are supplied as multiple trusses fixed together.

Eaves
Any overhang can be supplied. NB Very large overhangs may cause the trusses to be uneconomical.

Timber
We use kiln dried and stress graded timber to European and British Standards.

Nailplates
We use and recommend Wolf 101 nailplates manufactured from structural grade galvanised mild steel to BS EN 14545. 1mm thick.
